…well just a little little bit.
My oldest daughter is a Senior this year. I have often thought of this time in my life but never imagined that it would sneak up on me like this. We all want our children to be successful. We want them to be healthy, smart and compassionate. We want so much for them. What I worry most is that I haven’t prepared her enough for the real world. I’m sure most parents feel this way, right? Why is letting go so hard? Is it because she is my first born? I know I have nothing to worry about. She is a super smart girl, math whiz and so outgoing. Right Baby? I know she will be successful in anything she does and whatever career she’ll pursue. She is an amazing person with a strong will and heart. Her determination will get her very far.
I know you will do very well baby, I believe in you. When tears do fall on that special day, they will be from pure joy and pride for you! You are so awesome S. The best daughter a Mom & Dad could ever have or hope for. Unbeknown to you, thanks for being our guinea pig too, haha. I’m sure your siblings will thank you later.
We will always be here for you no matter what. Life will be challenging but we know you’ll perverse. So we’ll let you spread your wings a bit…. well just a little little bit.
Here is a quote for you S, I love you! Edited of course 🙂
“I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life’s a b****. You’ve got to go out and kick a**.” – Maya Angelou
