Bubbles and a gif
Z was so darn cute blowing bubbles the other day. I just couldn’t resist making a gif. This was my first attempt so I hope it isn’t too corny; c’est la vie. Enjoy!

I am at week 10 and the theme is Connections. I couldn’t choose just one photo. It was a gorgeous day out. And I wanted to take some fun shot of the girls with our new puppy. She’s adorable! It has been a while since we’ve had a puppy so we are having to once again keep shoes and toys away, fun fun. Oh but cleaning up the kennel is a bummer for us all! Enjoy!
CONNECTIONS
I am at week 8 of my project 52, this week’s theme is Perspective. This past week I came across the perfect opportunity.
It has been raining non stop here so we have been trapped inside for the most part except for the usual errand running like the post office or grocery shopping. On a positive note, we’ve had a chance at some early spring cleaning. How do we accumulate so much stuff? My kids are borderline hoarders, they just can’t seem to part with things. I’ve managed to convince them that a photo will last longer so now they take photos of their things before we throw or give them away. One of the things that went out the door was K’s gingerbread house. She did not want to let go of it, thus us having it for over 2 months. I really didn’t mind having it around until Z was trying to eat dusty gumdrops, ewww. Now on to the overflowing toy box unless the sun comes out and we have better things to do, hehe. Enjoy!
PERSPECTIVE
I am at week 7 of my project 52. I am determined to see this through. This week’s theme is COLD. It could not have come at a better time. We have had some really cold weather the last few days. We were fortune enough to have a little snow, yay! The girls enjoyed it while it lasted which wasn’t for very long. Oh well, maybe next year.
COLD
one more…
This week’s theme is “Love”… ooh la la. We had an amazing Valentine’s as always. We as a family always exchange Valentines treats with each other. This year I made red velvet cupcakes with homemade raspberry filling and cream cheese frosting. They were amazing. I have had a hard time finding a good red velvet recipe and an awesome friend was kind enough to share her grandma’s recipe. You can find it here. You will not be disappointed! The commander and I finished off the night with a wonderful six course dinner. I also received the most beautiful flower arrangement along with my favorite candy, jordan almonds. AND some gorgeous new champagne flutes. I love him so much, he is always so thoughtful regardless of the time, day or occasion.
LOVE
Well…Feb has been a bit cold and gloomy for us but when the sun does shine, we’ll take it and bask in it for a while! I am so ready for spring! I’ve been enjoying this project a lot and I look forward to the girls looking back on this when their old and grey. 🙂 Here is our day in the life, February 2012 Edition.
Well I am happy to say that I am caught up but still a week behind on my Project 52. Does that make sense? Well it doesn’t to me either and I’ll just leave it at that. Here is some external speak..I am caught up with the posts now but am still a week behind on my Project as I post every Monday and my week 6 is due ON Monday. No photo in sight. I am going to try my best as next week is Valentine’s Day!
Ok, this week’s theme is Storytelling. Here is K, my muse for this week. I was experimenting with low light and we were chatting. She was reading a book but I’d rather chit chat, it’s more fun. Love these individual intimate moments with all my little ones. Enjoy!
STORYTELLING
I’ve been MIA lately. Our house has been sick with the stomach flu, boo. Its no fun taking care of everyone when you feel terrible yourself. We are all on the mend except for the Commander who is still battling a cold. I was reading yesterday that here in Japan there is a flu epidemic. Let’s hope we dont get sick. I’ll have to keep the kids at home and not venture out too much.
Ok, back to business. I am a week behind and hope to catch up later this week. Last week’s theme was “smile” . When I look at this photo it just brings me a lot of joy, it reminds me of J2 and her silliness. It reminds me of childhood, having a favorite toy to toss around and hug. I’ve added a few more just because. So here we go again. Enjoy!
SMILE
My baby Z celebrated her 2nd birthday last month. It was a lady bug theme and super cute! I made her cupcakes and a cake from scratch. Her big sisters helped decorate them too. They were so delicious, I made the butter cream frosting with a hint of lemon. 🙂 We had a great time but its so bitter sweet watching her grow! I’d love for her to stay a baby forever. Love love love you my darling little girl.
Happy Birthday baby!
This week’s theme is “Sleep”. Schoolwork…boring enough to put this little fourth grader to sleep, hehe. She has had so much homework this year, poor thing only gets to go out and play on the weekends. She doesn’t really fall asleep but had fun taking a little snooze for me. Enjoy!
