I am proudly taking part in a 52 week challenge with 16 other amazing photographers. Basically, every week (for 52 weeks) we are given a theme or prompt. We interpret it then bring it to life through photographs. I am very excited to be taking part in this project as I’m sure to be inspired by everyone’s interpretation each week. Also, this will allow me to share what makes me who I am, as well as grow as a photographer. Oh, and have fun to! I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s work! Follow the journey. Our blogs are all linked so check back every Friday @ 9 am, EST and view 16 amazing interpretations of the same theme!

“All dolled up and no where to go”
Yes, that would be me. Being a Mom to five doesn’t leave me a lot of time to go out on a date with the CDR, much less dress up. The dress I’m wearing (with jeans) was my New Year’s Eve outfit. I was so exhausted from all the holiday hoopla that come Dec 31 (Z’s b-day too), I only had energy to plan a small birthday party. So my sequin dress was left unworn and has been hanging in the closet since. We did manage to ring in the new year (zip up hoodies and all) with our favorite appetizers and some champagne and cider. That’s a tradition I’ll never be too exhausted or under dressed to change. Next year we’ll do some things differently but nonetheless, I’ll make an effort to be all dolled up even if it’s in my own home. Happy New Year! 🙂
Now go check out the amazingly talented Hannah Mayo -West Palm Beach Portrait Wedding and Lifestyle Photographer and her self portrait. See you next week!
Here are some outtakes as I’ve learned not to take myself or life too seriously. I was directed by my 3.5 yr old, made for a fun session.
Z receieved her FIRST birthday card in the mail today. It was “hello kitty” and extremely cute. Thank you Tio’s R&D, we love you and appreciate you remembering all of our special days.
This was taken on the Eve of Z’s FIRST birthday. She is a New Year’s Eve baby and we wanted to make it extra special. It turned out wonderfully as we were able to celebrate her birth as well as the coming of the new year. No fancy photos were taken but we have lots of fun shots from my P&S. Can you image her smash cake? What a mess but I would not have it any other way. Looking forward to documenting another year of my cutie. Momma loves you.
Random fact: Z was one years old for only two hours in 2010. 🙂
New year, new things happening! This is my official “first post”. If you read my about, you’ll find that I am looking to get back into photography again. Many plans.. First, I am looking to start a 52 week project next week as well as begin to document my girls (and son) as much as I can. Secondly, I’d like to work on being more creative with my photography. I feel as if I’m in a rut. I hope that this will allow me to grow as a photographer.
So here we go!
